Bunny Nature Shuttle Rabbit
Bunny Nature Shuttle food supports your rabbit in the transition from mixed food to pellet food. The food is packed with different herbs and has been developed to resemble the natural eating habits of rabbits as closely as possible.
Bunny NatureΒ Shuttle food is specifically developed for when you want your rabbit to switch from mixed food to pellet food. Many mixed foods do not contain the most optimal ratios of all nutrients βthey often have a high sugar and starch content. In addition, with mixed food there is a risk that the animal will eat selectively, and thus not take in all the necessary nutrients. A change in diet is a big change for a rabbit. The animal's digestion needs to get used to the new diet, so the transition should take place gradually. Shuttle feed helps your rabbit in transitioning from muesli-type food to a pellet food. The food has been developed to resemble the natural food of rabbits as closely as possible and consists partly of pressed and partly of separate ingredients. You can give as much Bunny Nature Shuttle Rabbit as you like to your pet. Remember to only replenish the food when all the feed is gone. Make sure there is always enough hay and fresh water available. When your rabbit has finished the Shuttle package, you can change toΒ RabbitDream HerbsΒ orΒ RabbitDream Basic.

Burgess Excel DualCare is a complementary feed for recuperating rabbits and guinea pigs. Each box contains 10 x 60g sachets.
Comes in NEW sizes
- 60g Single SatchetsΒ
- 10 Pack of Sachets
Excel DualCare is a recovery and recuperation product for rabbits and guinea pigs. It can either be fed in its dry form alongside good quality hay, or can be mixed into a paste that can be *syringe fed using a wide tipped syringe. The product contains all of the necessary vitamins and minerals required to meet the nutritional needs of rabbits and guinea pigs, including high levels of protected vitamin C.Β
βοΈSuitable for feeding after illness or surgery
βοΈWith magnesium and tryptophan to support in times of stress
βοΈHigh levels of beneficial fibre to support gastrointestinal function
*Syringe not included.
Syringe Feeding
Syringe feeding requires time and patience as after each 1-2 ml the rabbit or guinea pig should be given the opportunity to swallow with the syringe tip removed from the mouth. To make the syringe feed paste we recommend adding 2 parts warm water to 1 part Excel DualCare, allowing to soak for 3-4 minutes and then gently mixing into a paste.
The patient should receive a maximum of 10ml of paste per kg of bodyweight per syringe feed session, and so will require regular feeds throughout the day, depending on the nutritional requirements of the individual patient. We recommend that the solution is made up fresh each time to the required consistency. Clean the syringe thoroughly after each feeding session.
Recovery Feeding
As the patient starts to recover, very gradually progress them to consuming Excel DualCare as a nugget with no added water. Once fully recovered the patient can be transitioned onto the appropriate life stage nuggets from the Burgess Excel feeding plan.
Fresh good quality hay should be available at all times to the patient, so that as soon as they want to they can start consuming hay.

Donβt forget the hay for dental health
As well as providing essential fibre, feeding hay and fresh grass have an important role in helping wear down your rabbitsβ continually growing teeth.
Remember that good quality feeding hay and/or grass should make up the majority of your rabbitsβ diet and should be available at all times. Rabbits should also be fed a small portion of Excel nuggets, the occasional Excel Nature Snack to add variety and encourage emotional enrichment, and a small amount of leafy greens each day. Fresh, clean water should always be available. Please talk to your vet for further information.
If you are currently feeding a muesli-style food to your rabbits you should gradually transfer them onto a hay and nugget-based feeding plan over a period of between 14 and 28 days. You can do this by gradually reducing the amount of muesli and increasing the proportion of Excel Adult Rabbit Nuggets with Mint until they have completely replaced the mix.
Always ensure you are monitoring your rabbitsβ weight to ensure a healthy weight. If you are ever unsure you should seek veterinary advice.

As well as providing essential fibre, feeding hay and fresh grass have an important role in helping wear down your rabbitsβ continually growing teeth
Your rabbit should have good quality feeding hay and/or fresh grass available at all times, as this should make up the majority of their diet. They should also have a constant supply of fresh water. To add some variety to their diet, include a portion of Excel junior rabbit nuggets, an Excel Nature Snack and some leafy greens too.Β Β
A muesli based diet may cause digestive issues for rabbits. Instead, we recommend a hay and nugget-based diet. You can transfer your rabbitβs diet over 14 to 28 days by slowly replacing the muesli with nuggets, which will prevent selective feeding. Make sure to monitor your rabbitβs weight too.Β
If you would like any more information regarding the above, please contact your vet for advice.
